Samuel Adams

Samuel Adams by John Singleton Copley is a commanding portrait of one of the key leaders of the American Revolution. Painted in 1772, Adams is depicted standing assertively, his right hand resting on a table with a rolled document. One of the leaders of the Sons of Liberty. He helped spark the revolution.
